by · Calgary Herald

Calgary police have charged a man for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl in Fish Creek Provincial Park in early August.

The incident occurred Aug. 1 between 8 and 9 p.m., when the victim was with her mother at a popular public swimming area known as the Ice Caves, near the community of Sundance.

“The victim’s mother was sitting on the bank of the creek, with several other families and children, and while the victim was swimming, it is believed an unknown man sexually assaulted her while in the water,” stated a Tuesday update from CPS.
