Body is found in reservoir in search for missing 15-year-old boy

Police have found a body in a reservoir following a three-day search for a missing teenage boy, who had disappeared from home.

West Yorkshire Police have said that while formal identification is yet to take place, they believe the person found to be  Zakir Muhammad Mughal, 15, from Bradford. 

Officers found as they had searched the Chellow Dene reservoir just before 6pm yesterday evening. 

Detectives investigating the teenager's death said it was not being treated as suspicious at this time. 

Zakir was previously reported missing on Tuesday after disappearing form his home.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: 'Police searching for missing teenager Zakir Muhammad Mughal have found a body. 

'The body was located in Chellow Dene reservoir at just before 6pm on Thursday.

'Although formal identification is yet to take place, the body is believed to be that of Zakir and his family have been informed.

'The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.'
