Kate holds Christmas Carol Service brain-storming session at Windsor
by Rebecca English Royal Editor · Mail OnlineThe Princess of Wales has held her second official meeting since she announced a carefully-managed return to official duties following cancer treatment.
Earlier today Catherine, 42, held a brain-storming session at Windsor Castle to discuss plans for her now annual televised Christmas Carol Service which will be held at Westminster Abbey later this year.
The meeting will be documented in tomorrow’s Court Circular, the official record of royal engagements.
This is the fourth year the service has been held and will be televised, as usual, on ITV on Christmas Eve as Royal Carols: Together at Christmas.
In previous years the princess has attended with her husband, Prince William, and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Members of the Royal Family and Middleton family have also joined in the festivities.

Inside Kate's comeback plan: How the princess is making slow return
This year’s event will no doubt have added emotional resonance given Catherine‘s recent health battle.
Just weeks after last year’s event, the princess was admitted to hospital for major abdominal surgery after which it was announced that evidence of cancer had been found. She subsequently embarked on a course of preventative chemotherapy.
Earlier this month she announced the good news that she had completed her treatment.
However Catherine also warned that her health remained an ongoing priority and her return to official duties would be slow and measured.
Last week she held a meeting of her ongoing Early Years project and this morning she was joined by members of her Kensington Palace team as well as her and William’s Royal Foundation.
Back in June it was revealed that she had been working from home and taking meetings with her Kensington Palace-based staff.
The Court Circular entry for the latest event reads: ‘The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales held a Meeting at Windsor Castle.’
