There were reports of 'multiple people covered in blood' in the early hours of this morning in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs.
Police were seen blocking off Stafford Street at about 4am as one person told local newspaper StokeonTrentLive it had been 'kicking off' in the early hours.
The reader told the paper: 'Yet again another weekend of a high police presence on Stafford Street where it was kicking off.
'Multiple people covered in blood. There were six police cars and one riot van and Stafford Street was closed at both ends for about 20 minutes.'
Staffordshire Police was contacted for comment.
It comes as a huge brawl broke out outside a nightclub in the city involving 20 clubbers last week, in which people were punched, headbutted and stamped on.

The man was arrested on suspicion of common assault and displaying threatening and/or abusive behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress while the woman was detained on suspicion of assault by beating.
He was interviewed by officers and released on conditional bail while the woman was given an adult restorative disposal.
