From getting stuck on a zipwire to flattening a schoolboy during a rugby match in Japan, Boris Johnson has given us many colourful moments during his time in politics. 

And today the former Prime Minister has been filmed reacting to some of his career highlights in a hilarious video to promote his new book.

The 60-year-old, whose unmissable memoir Unleashed was serialised in the Daily Mail and Mail On Sunday last week, is seen chuckling along as he revisits these iconic moments.

Reacting to his famous zipwire gaffe during the London Olympics in 2012, Mr Johnson recalls his children 'slinking away' from watching crowd as they realised what had happened.

And riffing on the fateful game of street rugby in Japan when he knocked down a child, he jokes: 'I suspect he was much older than they made out... at least 20.' 

The video also sees Mr Johnson reacting to some darker moments, including his announcement of the first lockdown in March 2020.

The former PM is also seen meeting the Queen for the first time after lockdown, a period he remembered as 'utterly surreal'.

Unleashed is released on October 10 and makes key revelations about his time in No 10. 

Among his recollections are delivering a 'manly pep talk' to Prince Harry as part of a last-minute attempt to encourage him to stay in the UK.

The former PM also claims that the Conservative Party would have been victorious in the July election if he had remained as leader.
