A mould-ridden house has been put up for sale with a six figure sum starting price  - despite its condition.

The four-bedroom house in Calmore, Southampton, Hampshire is described on the property website Rightmove as 'requiring renovation throughout'.

The guide price for the property, which is set to be up for auction, is £100,000.

The house's ground floor includes the entrance hallway with stairs to the first floor, a living room, a sitting room, a dining room, a kitchen, an inner hallway, and a bathroom.

The roof tiles also have green mould, indicating the state of abandonment the property is in - however that is only the beginning.

Moving to the inside of the house, there remains a personality of the previous residents, with one of the bedroom walls painted in orange and the ceiling sustaining quite a lot of damage.

Looking around the room seems to be covered in black mould.

The mouldy issue does not stop there and carries on to the kitchen where a few sections of the cabinet on the left of the picture seem to be missing a drawer as well as some appliances.

The whole kitchen is filthy and covered in dust and what seems to be plasterboard shavings.

The issue does not get better as other parts of the house are riddled with mould and one of the upstair bedrooms includes a floor-to-ceiling smashed wardrobe.

With the property also comes a garage on a separate, which with some repair works can be used to keep a car or for storage.

Needing a prune: Plants in the garden have grown, highlighting the state of abandonment of the property

The garden, however, will need some pruning as it currently is overgrown.

The listing of the property, being sold by fox and sons, says: 'This extended end of terrace house requires complete renovation throughout and comprises of a substantial level of accommodation measuring circa 173m2 to include four double bedrooms and three reception rooms.'

It adds: 'The property can be found in the well established residential area of Calmore which is located on the outskirts of Totton and is well placed for access to travel networks and bus services which pass along Calmore Drive.

'Calmore Infant and Junior schools are within walking distance of the property along with a local shop, with a wider range of amenities available in Totton town centre.'

The house is set to be sold by public auction on November 19 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
