Shocking end to 11-year-old California boy's lemonade stand
by Lauren Acton-Taylor For Dailymail.Com · Mail OnlineA boy in California had to learn a hard lesson after his lemonade stand was stolen in broad daylight.
Liam, 11, had briefly walked away from his stand in Ramona, California, to get more supplies when thief made a heartless move.
A man in a pickup truck pulled up beside the stand, discarded Liam's sign, then threw the tables and chairs in the truck bed and drove away.
Liam ran back to his stand but it was too late. He simply watched as the truck, with his stand, drove away.
The boy set up the stand in hopes of raising money to buy himself a dirt bike, but was left wondering, 'How can people be so cruel?' after selling at that intersection for more than a year.

His mother, Kery Rader, said that she had hoped that it was a misunderstanding, but that this was a hard lesson for Liam to learn.
'This looks a little bit more intentional, and that's unfortunate. You know, I think Liam definitely learned a hard lesson that day as far as leaving his stuff unattended,' she told KFMB.
However, the community began to rally around Liam, and after they heard what had happened, they asked how they could help the young boy.
His mother said: 'The community just started pouring in with you know, "Hey can we replace the table, the chairs, can we donate to his stand?"'
Liam was donated a new lemonade stand and was surprised with a dirt bike by members of the community.
They also came together for a free event in support of Liam's new stand, donating money toward the business which Liam plans to donate to an animal sanctuary.
'Because I love animals, I feel like every animal deserves a chance,' he told KFMB.
The outlet reported that currently there are no updates on whether the suspect has been caught.
