Elderly groundskeeper critically injured in freak ride-on mower crash

The man was working at the Windaroo Lakes Golf Club when the mower flipped and rolled down an embankment into a lake at about 7.30am on Wednesday.
He was pulled to safety after becoming briefly trapped underneath the lawnmower and was rushed to the Princess Alexandria Hospital in a critical condition.
The man is being treated for life-threatening head and neck injuries.
Windaroo Lakes Golf Club, located halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast in Queensland, said an investigation would be launched.
'As you may or may not be aware, there was a workplace accident this morning at Windaroo Lakes Golf Course,' a post read on social media.
'The individual involved is currently receiving excellent care at the PA Hospital.
'A thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway.
'Our thoughts are with the injured person and their family during this time, and we're all hoping for a full recovery.
'Please respect their privacy and the sensitivity of the situation.'
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said one crew attended the scene and remained the lawnmower from the lake.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is treating the freak crash as an industrial incident and has launched an investigation.
