A luxurious country house in County Durham has gone on the market for £1,300,000.

Fairfield House, a five star Visit England-rated self-catering country house in Stanhope, County Durham, is said to be a "very profitable business with excellent forward bookings". The house has 12 bedrooms and sleeps up to 24 guests, with entertainment facilities for guests including a cinema room, games room, tennis court, hot tub, sports lawn, and deck with barbecue.

The venue is owned and operated by Daniel Bahmanizad who lives in Durham. He said: “This is a great business which generates good profits with very little hands-on input thanks to our local team who handle changeover and ensure the highest of standards are maintained. Personal circumstances have led to the sale, otherwise I wouldn’t be considering selling Fairfield House, but I hope the new owner derives as much pleasure and income out of owning and operating the business as I have.”

Christie & Co Director Mark Worley, who is handling the sale, added: “This is a brilliant business and a wonderful building which offers a very good return on investment. A buyer would reap the rewards of the hard work and capital investment made by Daniel and this is reflected in the excellent reviews and ratings across Facebook, Sykes and other booking websites. A viewing is a must to fully appreciate the size and quality of accommodation.”
