Newcastle man missing for almost three weeks may have travelled to London
by Daniel Hall · ChronicleLivePolice are searching for a missing Newcastle man who they believe may have travelled to London.
Douglas Foster, who goes by the nickname "Bertie" was last seen on Stapleford Close in Blakelaw around 12.30am on November 4. Northumbria Police have carried out various lines of enquiry to locate him, with both officers and his family growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Officers believe the 48-year-old may have travelled to London, and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact police immediately. Douglas is described as a white male, 5ft 8ins tall, or large build with a short beard.
He was last seen wearing glasses and a reflective jacket over a blue top, with black trousers and black trainers. Northumbria Police have encouraged Douglas, or anyone who knows where he might be, to contact them by sending a direct message on social media, using the live chat function on the Force's website, or calling 101; quoting reference number M009986/24.
