NHS employees, emergency service workers, teachers, and members of the armed forces will be entitled to free food delivery and several other benefits from Deliveroo.

The food delivery app has teamed up with the Blue Light Card to offer members free Deliveroo Plus Silver membership for the next 12 months, saving them over £40 a year and providing free deliveries. The Blue Light Card has over 4 million members, who receive several offers and discounts across the hospitality, entertainment and retail sector.

But Deliveroo has become the only delivery app to partner with Blue Light Card. As a Deliveroo Plus Silver member, Blue Light Card holders can cash in on free delivery on eligible orders over £15 from restaurants and over £25 at grocery and retail stores.

Members can order from their favourite restaurants, grocers or retailers, such as Nando's, Wagamama, Pho, Giggling Squid, Kokoro, GAIL’s Bakery, Waitrose, Wingstop, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Co-op, Boots and many more. They can also access exclusive Deliveroo Plus-only offers tailored to their local area all year round.

In addition, members will join the Deliveroo Rewards programme, which means if they make three orders at the same place within 30 days, they'll get £8 off their 4th order.

Andy Collins, COO from Blue Light Card said: "By offering free Deliveroo Plus Silver, we're proud to provide Blue Light members not only with a range of exclusive offers, but with greater convenience too - whether they're ordering to their home or workplace.

"For many shift workers, being able to get their favourite meals or essentials delivered round-the-clock is a game-changer, so this unique partnership with Deliveroo is another way for us to show our hardworking and dedicated community that we're there for them 24/7."
