Top rated Newcastle bakery with 'the best cakes in town' has United WAGs flocking
by Simon Duke · ChronicleLiveIt's been a long standing favourite of many people in Newcastle for years and now, a popular bakery celebrated for doing 'the best cakes in town' has now become a big hit with the other halves of United stars.
If you say the three words Pink Lane Bakery to anyone from Newcastle, they will either know for themselves just how good it is, or have heard all about it from someone else. The independent business has three separate branches in the area, its first on Pink Lane in the city centre and other successful stores in Jesmond and Gosforth and has become famous for creating top notch savoury and sweet treats.
Take a glance at the Pink Lane Instagram and you'll do very well not to jump in your car and drive to your nearest one straight away, with images of delicious looking breads, pastries and cakes, like mouth-watering meringues and cheescakes, calling out to you to go and get one. And the delights of Pink Lane have not gone unnoticed by some of the Newcastle United WAGs, with Pink Lane now being featured on a number of their social media channels.
The latest to jump on the Pink Lane love is Chana Kesselaar, the fashion stylist girlfriend of NUFC defender Sven Botman. Since Sven made the big money switch to United in the summer of 2022, Chana has been by his side and, after giving birth to the couple's first child at the end of August, has been once again exploring all her new home has to offer.
Earlier this week Chana uploaded some snapshots from her weekend on her Insta grid and included in the photo dump was a shot of her queuing up with her baby girl and the family's dog outside of Pink L:ane, with her also posting a photo of the outside of famous Bigg Market haunt The Beehive, although she didn't reveal whether she'd actually gone in for a drink.
