Police appeal to find two men after Rottweiler 'jumped on' girl and 'bit her shoulder' in Northumberland pub

Northumbria Police want to speak to these men

Northumbria Police are looking to speak to two men over an alleged dog attack at a Northumberland pub.

Officers have released images of the two men they wish to contact - both of whom are understood to have been in the area when the reported incident occurred at between 1pm and 2pm on Sunday July 28.

The police said it had been reported that a girl was injured when a dog, a Rottweiler, jumped on her before biting her shoulder. This took place in the Cherry Tree pub in Riversdale Avenue, Stakeford, which is just south of Ashington.

The girl was left with an injury to her shoulder but has since made a full recovery. Police have carried out a number of enquiries since July in hope of identifying the dog's owners.

Both men pictured are thought to have been in the area at the time of the incident and officers believe they could have information which would assist with their enquiries.

The men, or anyone who knows them, is asked to contact Northumbria Police by sending a DM on social media, using the live chat on the Force website or by going to the Tell Us About page of the website. For those unable to contact the Force via those ways, call 101.
