British Transport Police release CCTV image of woman after theft on train between York and Durham

Officers from the British Transport Police (BTP) are now investigating the report of theft on board a train travelling between York and Durham and has released an image of a woman.
At around 5pm on Wednesday, October 23, a woman was travelling to Newcastle. As she went to leave the train, she noticed her bag was missing and reported it to police.
Officers from the BTP believe the woman in the CCTV image may have information that could help their investigation.
Anyone who recognises her, or has any other information, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2400132998.
