Yvonne Connolly is 'feeling blessed' as 1-year-old granddaughter follows in her footsteps

Posting a series of photos to her Instagram, Yvonne shared the beautiful day she spent with her granddaughter as she tried out horse-riding, alongside her children Jack and Ali

Yvonne Connolly is a proud grandmother to one-year-old little girl Maya, and she shared that the sweet tot is following in her footsteps with one much-loved hobby.

Maya, the daughter of Yvonne and ex-husband Ronan Keating's son Jack, is now a fan or horse-riding.

Yvonne has a huge passion for horses, and her granddaughter is taking after her in that regard.

Posting a series of photos to her Instagram, Yvonne shared the beautiful day she spent with her granddaughter as she tried out horse-riding.

"Feeling blessed to spend quality time this weekend with my granddaughter Maya," Yvonne said.

She was kept busy to say the least and is now obsessed with ponies! Who would've guessed."

The adorable little one was pictured sitting perched on top of a pony with her safety helmet on, looking delighted with herself.

The helmet was on theme too, with a pint cover featuring a unicorn horn, arguable the most famous of all mythic equines.

Maya does not only take after her granny, but also after her auntie Ali, who is a talented equestrian and producer of Connemara ponies.

Ali was also on hand to help her little niece learn to horseback ride.

She also posted to Instagram to say: "I think Maya could be converted to a horse girl… The best weekend full of laughs and ponies."

In her picture Jack could also be spotted walking alongside his daughter and sister as Ali held Maya tightly as they walked a pony around a yard.

Yvonne became a grandmother for the first time last year when influencer Jack announced the birth of his baby daughter.

Jack's dad Ronan Keating recently opened up about becoming a granddad.

"It's all wonderful, it's lovely. Maya is beautiful baby girl and Jack is doing great. Jack's a great dad, and he's doing really well," the Dubliner told OK! Magazine.
