Strictly Come Dancing's professional dancer Kai Widdrington has found himself without a celebrity partner this season. Yet, he remains an integral part of the beloved show.

Even though some pros aren't matched with celebrities, they still take part in all group numbers, and Kai seems to have embraced his role with as much zest as if he'd been paired up. However, his exuberance led to a little mishap bump on the head during a performance, which most viewers didn't catch.

Kai only realised what happened after re-watching the episode the following day, and with good humour, he took to social media to query his fans with a cheeky "Anyone see? ".

A video posted on Kai's Instagram captured him leaping into the air with joy, accidentally colliding with the glitterball. Although he had to rub the spot afterwards as someone checked on him, he kept his smile, evidently buoyed by the electrifying energy in the room.

He even made a light hearted post about it, saying: "Anyone else see me smash my head on a glitterball behind @paulmersonofficial [laughing emoji].", reports the Irish Mirror.

Despite Kai not having a celebrity dance partner this year, a decision that left many fans disheartened, he continues to win hearts across the nation, just like when he previously partnered with Angela Rippon, dazzling audiences with their fantastic routines. His fans are thrilled to see him shine amongst other beloved professionals on the Strictly dance floor.

Lauren Oakley and Carlos Gu also found themselves without partners this year, but fans will still see them on the show every week.

The programme has been embroiled in a new controversy after the second week of the show this weekend. Viewers were left outraged on Saturday night, alleging that former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri had been given an 'unfair' advantage on the BBC series.

The 26 year old stunner soared to near the top of the leaderboard with her partner Aljaz Skorjanec, after they wowed with a cha cha to Sabrina Carpenter's summer hit Espresso. They scored an impressive 30 points, tying with Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola.

However, some viewers have been questioning Tasha's background, noting that she has had previous dance training. Before gaining fame from her appearance on the ITV reality show, Tasha worked as a model and dancer.

She started ballet at the age of three and later trained in commercial street-style dancing.
