Gwyneth Strong's dramatic transformation from Only Fools and Horses to fiery EastEnders role

Gwyneth Strong, best known for her role as Casandra Trotter in the iconic BBC One sitcom Only Fools and Horses, has also made a name for herself in EastEnders, where she played a character who frequently clashed with landlady Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).

The 64 year old actress first appeared on Only Fools in 1989, playing the smart, level-headed, and 'yuppie' love interest of Rodney Trotter (Nicholas Lyndhurst), a shady dealer. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, the couple met at evening school and their relationship endured.

Cassandra and Rodney tied the knot in the episode titled Little Problems, which officially made her Del Boy's (David Jason) beleaguered sister-in-law.

Cassandra was very much a daddy's girl, having been pampered by her father, Alan Parry (Denis Lill), which added a touch of class to the Trotters, who resided in a Peckham high-rise and peddled dodgy merchandise.

In later episodes, Rodney and Cassandra became parents to a baby girl named Joan, as revealed in the final episode of the sitcom, which aired in 2003.

Since leaving the show, Gwyneth has amassed an impressive list of television credits, including roles in Casualty, Midsomer Murders, New Tricks, Doctors, and many more, reports MyLondon.

In September 2016, the television personality took on a new role in the BBC One series EastEnders.

She entered the scene as Geraldine Clough, head of the women's darts team at The Feathers pub, and made quite an impression on Albert Square.

Dismissing The Queen Vic as "tacky", Geraldine confidently strutted into the watering hole for a game of darts with purpose.

However, chaos erupted when she deceitfully outflanked Linda Carter and the rest of her pub crew in a darts match, which eventually led to her swift departure.

Yet, merely two months later, Geraldine was back in Walford, this time for a confrontation with another of the show's heavyweights.

Her comeback involved coordinating the Walford Players Christmas Show, drawing characters Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) to seek her out.

But the encounter took an unexpected turn, resulting in the vigorous Geraldine ejecting Kathy from the premises, a display far removed from the comedic roles with which we associate her.

Geraldine's stint in Walford lasted around two months, wrapping up with her final curtain call on November 29, 2016.

Following her EastEnders gig, Gwyneth recently took to the stage as Mrs Boyle in the milestone 70th-anniversary staging of Agatha Christies Mousetrap.
