Man killed in crash near M5
by Toby Codd · DevonLiveA motorcyclist died after a crash near the M5 yesterday morning (Thursday, December 12). The collision, which also involved a Volkswagen Polo car, took place in Avonmouth shortly after 7am.
Emergency services rushed to Kings Weston Lane but the biker died at the scene. Although he has not yet been formally identified, he is believed to be a man aged in his 30s. Police said his next of kin have been informed.
The road was closed between its junctions with St Andrew’s Road and Merebank Road as investigation work took place. It reopened at around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon.
Investigating officers are now appealing to the public for information on the crash. They are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
