Bawdisaryar nunnery and donors contribute 130 million kyats to flood victims in Yedashe and Swa Townships

With the aim of providing cash assistance to flood victims in Yedashe and Swa Townships, Bawdisaryar Nunnery, the Yaungzin Mae Social Rescue Team, and other donors collectively contributed a donation of 130 million kyats.

On September 22 and 23, donations were delivered by visiting monasteries in Yedashe and Swa Townships, where flood victims had taken shelter.

The Bawdisaryar Nunnery family, the Yaungzin Mae Social Rescue Team, the family of actor Lin Zarni Zaw, and other donors contributed to help those affected by the floods, including victims whose homes were destroyed.

In addition to cash, the donations included food, clean water, pillows, mosquito nets, blankets, and other personal necessities for those who had sought refuge in monasteries.

Since September 11, the villages in Yedashe and Swa Townships have been experiencing severe flooding, and the water levels have yet to recede.
