Eleven Media Group (EMG) and village well-wishers held the 10th Kathina robes offering ceremony at Pwint Tauk village monastery in Sidoktaya Township, Magway Region, yesterday.

Following severe flooding from Mone Creek in July 2015, which inundated Pwint Tauk village’s monastery, school, and homes, EMG and well-wishers stepped in to support the community.

They provided essential supplies, including rice, edible oil, and consumer goods, and donated 100 million kyats to construct a new monastery, ordination hall, and statues.

This ceremony marks the 10th consecutive year that EMG staff and their families have offered alms to Pwint Tauk’s monastery.

At the event, Kathina robes and alms were presented to 18 monks from the monastery, and charity food was shared with local residents of Pwint Tauk and neighboring villages.

Additionally, EMG conducted a rice offering ceremony alongside the Kathina observance.
