Thailand repatriates over 120 Myanmar nationals to Kawthoung

On September 26, over 120 Myanmar nationals were repatriated from Thailand to Kawthoung, Myanmar. According to reports, a total of 127 Myanmar citizens, who had served various sentences in Thailand, were sent back to their home country through Thailand's Ranong Province in the afternoon of September 26.

Upon their arrival in Kawthoung, local authorities conducted COVID-19 tests, verified personal information, and provided necessary guidance. Those suspected of having COVID-19 were placed in temporary quarantine centers for further observation.

For those cleared of COVID-19, arrangements will be made for their return to their respective hometowns by the local authorities in Kawthoung.
