Man accused of throwing 8-month-old baby against wall after becoming frustrated with video game
by Ruairi Scott Byrne · Irish MirrorA man has been arrested after he admitted to throwing his infant son against a wall because he was losing at a video game, according to authorities.
Jalin A. White, who is facing charges of child abuse with great bodily harm and child neglect, is currently being held at the Milwaukee County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
White, 20, was reportedly left in charge of taking care of the eight-month-old baby while the mother had gone out during the evening of Tuesday, November 5.

Police say that while caring for the infant, White was playing NBA 2K, a popular basketball video game, and was “down 2 points in the fourth quarter of the game.” He “became frustrated” and allegedly threw his eight-month-old son against the wall.
White was arrested after the child's mother found her son severely injured in his playpen and took him to hospital, according to reports.
According to the criminal complaint, the baby was severely injured and had to be intubated. The baby lost a pulse and the treating team had to administer multiple rounds of CPR to bring the pulse back.
A CT exam revealed that the baby had several injuries including fractured ribs, a skull fracture and a broken collarbone. Prosecutors say the baby now has a traumatic brain injury and “is not expected to survive.”
During an investigation, White allegedly gave police several different stories — such as claiming the baby fell during a diaper change — all of which reportedly turned out to be false, according to the complaint.
He then allegedly admitted to angrily throwing his son against a wall.
White appeared in court on Saturday where prosecutors charged him with physical abuse of a child and neglecting a child causing great bodily harm. However, Milwaukee County Court Commissioner Andrea Bolender said the charges would be upgraded to homicide if the infant dies.
If convicted, White could face up to 62 years in prison, but that total could increase if the baby does not survive.
