Revenue seize tablets, airsoft gun, alcohol and retail goods throughout week

The illegal drugs were discovered, as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dogs Sam, Grace and Enzo in parcels

Revenue have seized over a quarter of a million euros of cannabis, alcohol, an airsoft gun, tablets, and retail items including Adidas and Louis Vuitton branded goods.

Over the course of last week, Revenue officers examining parcels at premises in Dublin and the Midlands seized approximately 37.7 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of over €754,000, during the course of numerous operations.

Various quantities of other illicit drugs, plus alcohol and an airsoft weapon, with a total estimated value of €18,700, were also seized.

The various quantities of other illicit drugs in addition to an amount of alcohol and the airsoft gun seized last week comprised: 452g of butane honey oil, 2mls of cannabis oil, 12.2g of cannabis resin, 227.2g of cannabis edibles, 13 reefers, 1,848 Tapentadol, Zolpidem and Zopiclone tablets, 50 Isopropylfenidate and 50 4F-PHM tablets, over 59g of ecstasy, over 50g 4-Methylethcathinone and 400g kratom powder.

The illegal drugs were discovered, as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dogs Sam, Grace and Enzo in parcels that originated in the USA, the UK, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Greece, Canada, Thailand, and India and were intended for addresses nationwide.

Revenue officers also seized a quantity of retail goods, with an estimated value of €31,500, due to infringements of Intellectual Property Rights.

The retail goods seized last week, consisted of 159 items of Adidas, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Cristian Dior, Dsquared, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Moschino, New Balance, Nike, The North Face, Oakley, ON Cloud, and White Fox.
