Tragic news from West Belfast as the PSNI probe the sudden death of a child on Springfield Road. Cops were called out to the scene on Thursday night, October 10, with an investigation now underway into the heart-breaking incident.

Confirming the news, a PSNI spokesperson shared: "Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a child at a property on Springfield Road in West Belfast on Thursday 10 October."

They added that a postmortem is expected soon: "A postmortem examination will be carried out in due course."
