Gardai seize heroin worth €280k alongside bladed weapons in multiple Dublin raids

As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs and criminal activity in the Dublin 2 area, Gardaí conducted a search operation at several properties in Dublin 8 on Friday afternoon.
The Armed Support Unit, the Street Crime Unit, the Divisional Crime Task Force, and Gardaí attached to Operation Citizen provided assistance.

During the course of the search operation, approximately 2kg of suspected heroin was seized by Gardaí. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is €280,000. The drugs are subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
Gardaí also seized a number of offensive weapons. No arrests were made during the search operation and Gardaí confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the incident.
