Gardai appeal for help in solving cold case disappearance of man missing for 32 years
by Michael O'Toole · Irish MirrorGardaí have appealed for the public’s help in solving the mystery disappearance of this man – more than 32 years after he vanished.
Patsy O’Sullivan was last seen in his native Cork in April 1992 – and his family and Gardaí have never given up hope of finding him. And now officers have appealed for anyone who has any information about him to come forward – or for him to make contact with them or his family.
A spokesman said on Thursday: “An Garda Síochána and Patsy’s family are appealing to anyone who may have information relating to his disappearance to contact investigating Gardaí. They are also appealing to Patsy himself to make contact with them.”

Mr O’Sullivan, who was then 35, was last in contact with his family in Lombardstown, County Cork in April 1992. He was known to have often gone away to work for weeks at a time, in different locations, but would always maintain contact with his family, and return periodically.
Mr O’Sullivan had been working in Co. Kerry and visited his family home at Lombardstown on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend in April 1992, Gardaí said. He was due to return home again for a Christening a few weeks later – bit did not turn up.
The missing man was described as approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height, of a slim build, with fair/brown hair and green eyes. He would be 67 years old today.
Anyone with any information on Patsy's whereabouts is asked to contact Mallow Garda Station on 022 31450, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
