Information received on identities of 56 'persons of interest' in Dublin riots
by Darragh Mc Donagh · Irish MirrorThere has been “a very significant” public response to an appeal by An Garda Síochána for information in relation to 99 images of persons of interest connected to the Dublin riots last November.
A total of 14 of these images have been removed from the public gallery in the past 24 hours, leaving 43 individuals who gardaí wish to speak to regarding the public disorder that occurred on November 23, 2023.
They are still in the process of validating the reported identities of the 56 persons of interest whose images have been removed from the gallery as part of ongoing investigations.

An Garda Síochána is not confirming the role of any of these individuals in the events last year, and it should not be presumed that an identification means criminal involvement in the incidents, a spokesperson said.
“On the 19th November 2024, An Garda Síochána published CCTV images of 99 ‘Persons of Interest’ on the Garda website www.garda.ie,” they stated.
“The purpose of the publication was to identify these 99 ‘Persons of Interest’ to either rule each individual ‘in or out’ of and progress the criminal investigative process. An Garda Síochána continues to receive a very significant ongoing public response to this appeal for information.”
The riots occurred after a stabbing incident at a school in Dublin, and involved multiple incidents of vandalism, arson, and looting, as well as a series of assaults on gardaí and members of the public.
An Garda Síochána is continuing to appeal for assistance from the public in identifying the remaining 43 persons of interest. A spokesperson said information can be submitted confidentially.
“An Garda Síochána would encourage any person who identifies themselves as a ‘person of interest’ from the published images to make immediate contact with the Garda investigation team at Store Street Garda Station,” they said.
The investigation team at Store Street Garda Station can be contacted by telephone at 01-6668000 or by email at store.street.public@garda.ie.
Any member of the public can also provide confidential information to the Garda Investigation team by contacting the Garda Confidential Phone number 1800 666 111.
