A fundraiser has been launched to help rebuild a garage in Dublin that burnt down following an accidental fire.

A recent blaze engulfed Horen's Garage in Dublin, destroying €10,000 worth of tools along with two of their BMW E30s and a range of other cars.

Following the blaze, the local community launched a fundraiser for the garage owner, who was well-known in the Dublin car scene for his love of BMWs, with thousands of euros being raised so far to support the rebuild.

“Our friend Horen’s garage has unfortunately burnt down due to an accidental fire in a joint unit,” a post on GoFundMe read.

“Most of you know Horens from the car scene in Dublin and his love for BMWs. Over €10,000 worth of tools was lost along with 2 of his pride BMW E30s and a few other cars.

“We’re hoping to raise some funds to help Horens get a new unit to rent and help him with the burden of replacing all his tools so he can get back to work.

“Horens has helped many of you over the years with your cars and now it’s time we helped him. Please give what you can to help him get back on his feet. All funds will go towards getting Horens’ tools.”

So far, the GoFundMe has raised €5,264 of the €15,000 target. To donate to the fundraiser to help rebuild the garage, head here.
