Cavan-Monaghan general election 2024 results in full
by Michael Marsh · Irish MirrorPeople across Ireland went to the polls on Friday to vote in the 2024 General Election.
A lot has changed since we last went to the polls nearly five years ago. We have survived a global pandemic, saw Donald Trump re-elected US President and watched as two wars broke out.
Another thing that has changed since you last voted in 2020 is the redrawing of several Dáil constituencies. You might have voted in a new area or may even have more or fewer TDs representing your constituency.
There were five seats up for grabs in Cavan-Monaghan, one of the 43 constituencies being contested across the country. Outgoing TDs were: Heather Humphreys (Fine Gael), Pauline Tully (Sinn Fein), Matt Carthy (Sinn Fein), Brendan Smith (Fianna Fail) and Niamh Smyth (Fianna Fail).
Polls closed at 10pm on Friday, November 29 - with counting taking place from 9am on Saturday. You can see full results for the constituency and the rest of the country in the interactive widget below, which will update once the count has been declared.
