Gardai appeal for help identifying body of man recovered from water in Galway
by Cathal Ryan · Irish MirrorGardaí in Galway have appealed to the public for help in identifying the body of a man which was recovered from the water.
The body of the man, estimated to have been aged in his 60s, and five foot seven inches in height, was recovered from the water at Claddagh Quay on Sunday, November 17. He was of a medium build, 78-80kg and had blue eyes and a full head of red/grey hair.
He had a grey full beard, with the moustache part of the beard slightly red. He had black rimmed glasses on his person. The man is believed to have had an Irish accent.

He was wearing a grey tweed suit jacket and trousers, a blue/white striped shirt with a flowery print along the seams where the buttons are and inside the collar. He wore size 10 black laced dress shoes, Asos brand.
Superintendent Paudie O’Shea of Galway Garda Station said: "Extensive enquiries have been carried out but there has been no positive identification of the deceased to date.
"I am appealing to owners of guest houses, landlords, hotels, hostels, B&Bs and Airbnbs to check if anybody left their premises and may have left property behind."
