Six people hurt in three-vehicle Christchurch crash

Six people have been injured in a three-vehicle crash in Christchurch's Riccarton.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Blenheim Road at about 7.30am on Thursday.

St John said it treated four people at the scene, and two further people were taken to Christchurch Hospital, one in a serious condition.

The road was blocked near Matipo Street.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
