60-year-old charged with arson after Christchurch fires
· RNZA Christchurch man is facing several charges of arson following a number of fires in the suburb of Woolston earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to four fires on 10 November, with one of them causing extensive damage to a nearby building after they were started in rubbish bins.
A 60-year-old has been arrested and charged with four counts of arson on Monday, after being spotted on CCTV footage, and with the help of the public,
The charges also include intentional damage, and other unrelated dishonesty offences.
He is due to appear in court on 13 November and is scheduled to reappear on 5 December.
