Second person dies after Kirwee crash last week

A second person has died after a crash in Kirwee last week.

Police said they were told about the two-vehicle crash on West Coast Road, west of Christchurch, about 9.30pm last Thursday.

One person died at the scene and two others were seriously injured.

Another person had now died, while the sole occupant of the other vehicle was still in hospital in a stable condition, police said.

Police said they were still investigating the crash.
