Armed police are at a Taranaki house following a report of someone being unlawfully at the property.

Police said the the Armed Offenders Squad were helping local police to to safely resolve the incident at Hadfield Street in Pātea.

Officers were called to the property around 3.50am on Wednesday.

No one was believed to be injured, police said.
