Pakuranga stabbing suspect arrested

Police in Auckland have arrested a man after a stabbing in the suburb of Pakuranga earlier this month.

Officers were called to the scene on Jade Ave where they found the victim injured with stab wounds.

He has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering.

Police said they arrested a 24-year-old at a Mount Wellington address this week in relation to the stabbing.

He appeared in Manukau District Court on Friday charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man was remanded in custody, and was expected to reappear in court next week.
