  • Candidates express frustration over the UGC NET 2024 result delay on social media
  • Posts on X (formerly Twitter) highlight concerns over NTA’s silence on the matter
  • UGC NET 2024 was already surrounded by controversy due to paper leaks and exam cancellations

The delay in announcing the UGC NET 2024 results has left many candidates frustrated, with some taking to social media to express their concerns. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to release the scores for the UGC NET June 2024 cycle, which has led to mounting anxiety among aspirants.

The popular microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) has been flooded with posts highlighting candidates’ concerns over the prolonged delay.

One candidate, Rajesh Patel, shared his frustration, writing, “I think #NTA has forgotten to announce the result of the #UGC_NET June 2024 cycle, is there anyone who is responsible for aspirants queries?”

Patel’s post sparked a flurry of replies, with many others joining in to vent their disappointment. Another user, Zenni, responded by questioning whether anyone from the authorities had addressed these concerns. “Has there been any update from NTA on this?”

40-DAY WAIT ADDS TO UNCERTAINTY

Husain M, another user, noted the lengthy wait time, “It's almost 40 days since we sat for UGC NET re-exam, but we have no clue when @mamidala90 is going to release the result. It's not fair to studentsâ€æJune exam was cancelled without much investigation.”

Likewise, an account named UPSC Readers criticised the process, calling for accountability. “First, a baseless cancellation of UGC NET June 2024, now delays in re-exam results. @NTA_Exams and @mamidala90 are failing students! @dpradhanbjp we need accountability!”

One user has even sent a mail to the UGC chairman urging the immediate release of the UGC NET results:

CONTROVERSY FROM THE START

The UGC NET 2024 examination has been surrounded by controversies. Initially held on June 18 in pen-and-paper mode, it was cancelled following a paper leak, revealed by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

After the re-examination took place from August 21 to September 5, 2024, the answer keys were released in phases, and candidates were allowed to raise objections.

Now, as the wait for results continues, candidates are increasingly voicing their frustration online. Ramesh Sahu, another aspirant, summed up the general sentiment: “Why no news about results uptil now? Kindly give us infoâ€æ we are in deep pain and agony. #NTADeclareJune2024Result.”

With the NTA yet to respond, the growing impatience among candidates is only adding to the confusion and uncertainty surrounding this year's UGC NET results.

The CSIR UGC NET 2024 cut-off is expected to be released by October 15, as announced by CSIR on X. Candidates can check their results on csirnet.nta.ac.in using their application number and date of birth once declared. The scorecard will not be sent via post or email.
