The Common Admission Test, or CAT 2024, conducted by IIM Calcutta is being held today, November 24, 2024. The exam will be held throughout the day in 3 different slots. As an entrance exam for admission into top B-schools, including 21 IIMs, the CAT is a crucial step for aspiring management students.â€èâ€èThe difficulty level of CAT 2024 - Slot 1 was comparatively tricky to the CAT 2024 paper.

The section-wise level of difficulty was as follows:

VARC (Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension): Easy in difficulty level

DILR (Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning): Easy to moderate

QA (Quantitative Ability): Moderate in difficulty level

There were a total of 68 questions, which were to be attempted in a duration of 120 minutes. The overall difficulty level of this year's exam was higher than that of the first slot of CAT 2024.â€èâ€è

SECTION-WISE DOABLE QUESTIONS

VARC: The VARC section of CAT 2024 maintained a moderate in difficulty level, with 24 questions to be completed in 40 minutes. Overall, this section was more accessible compared to the previous year.

DILR: The DILR section of CAT 2024 was moderate in difficulty, similar to the previous year. It included 20 questions, with 40 minutes allotted for this section.

QA: The QA section proved to be more challenging this year.

Total: Overall, the paper was quite tricky, and in comparison to the previous year, it reflected an increased level of difficulty.
