The iQOO 13 and OnePlus 13 have already launched in India, while the GT 7 Pro and iQOO 13 are expected to arrive next month. These upcoming devices promise top-tier features and performance, making the start of the new year exciting for tech enthusiasts. Let’s take a closer look at what each of these phones has to offer.
OnePlus 13
OnePlus has launched its new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13, in China. Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, the phone includes a large 6,000mAh battery—a notable improvement over its predecessor. While it’s currently available only in China, it is expected to launch globally, with an India release anticipated in January 2025.
The OnePlus 13 comes in four models: the 12GB + 256GB variant starts at CNY 4,499 (about Rs 53,100), and the high-end 24GB + 1TB model is priced at CNY 5,999 (around Rs 70,900). It features a quad-curved design, giving it a flat, refined look, along with a 6.82-inch BOE X2 OLED display that supports a 1440p resolution and adaptive refresh rates from 1-120 Hz. The display brightness peaks at 4,500 nits, making it exceptionally bright.
A unique addition is the large vibration motor, offering feedback similar to gaming controllers. The OnePlus 13 also debuts an IP69 rating, providing extra protection against high-pressure water and steam.
Photography is another focus, with a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup co-engineered with Hasselblad, including a main Sony LYT-808 sensor, a 3x periscope lens, and an ultrawide sensor that doubles as a macro camera. For selfies, there's a 32-megapixel front camera. The phone runs ColorOS 15 on Android 15 in China, with global models expected to use OxygenOS 15, and supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
iQOO 13
The iQOO 13 has been launched in China, featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It also includes iQOO’s in-house Q2 gaming chip and runs on Android 15-based OriginOS 5. The phone is expected to launch in India soon.
In China, the iQOO 13 is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs. 47,200) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, going up to CNY 5,199 (around Rs. 61,400) for the 16GB + 1TB model. It is available on the Vivo China e-store in four colors: Isle of Man, Legendary Edition, Nardo Grey, and Track Edition.
The iQOO 13 sports a 6.82-inch 2K BOE Q10 OLED display with LTPO 2.0 technology, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR. Its camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. A 32-megapixel front camera completes the setup, and the rear camera module has an “Energy Halo” LED with customizable lighting effects.
This smartphone is equipped with a 6,150mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging. It also features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port. The device’s dimensions vary slightly between editions, with weights ranging from 207g to 213g.
Realme GT 7 Pro
Realme’s upcoming flagship, the GT 7 Pro, has stirred excitement with recent price leaks hinting at a launch price of CNY 3,999 (around Rs 47,100) in China for its base model. If accurate, this marks a price bump from the GT 5 Pro’s launch price of CNY 3,399 (around Rs 40,000). Expected to launch in November in both India and China, the GT 7 Pro could bring notable upgrades targeting premium users.
The GT 7 Pro is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch OLED Plus display with a high resolution of 2780x1264 pixels. It’s expected to support a 1Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate and reach up to 6000 nits of peak brightness, ideal for outdoor visibility. With Dolby Vision and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, the display promises vibrant visuals, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm processor and Adreno 830 GPU, it could offer configurations of up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and storage up to 1TB with UFS 4.0 technology. The phone is likely to run Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0.
The camera setup might include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom, plus a 16MP front camera. A large 6500mAh battery with 120W fast charging is expected, along with dual stereo speakers, 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, and more, positioning the GT 7 Pro as a competitive flagship choice.
