by India Today Education Desk · India TodayThe exam conducting body, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the date sheet for the 2025 board exams for Classes 10 and 12 in December soon on the official website. While the exact release date is yet to be confirmed, the exams are scheduled to begin on February 15, 2025, and conclude in April.
Once available, students will be able to download the complete schedule in PDF format from the official CBSE website, i.e., cbse.gov.in.
Separate date sheets will be provided for practical exams. For Class 10, the practicals will be conducted in front of school teachers, while an external examiner will oversee the Class 12 practical exams.

- Click on the highlighted link tab available on the homepage
- Look for the “Latest Announcements” or “Academic Website” section
- Click on the notification for Class 10 or 12 date sheet
- Download the PDF and take a printout for future reference.

CBSE is exploring the possibility of conducting board exams twice a year, in line with the New National Curriculum Framework (NCF). This could involve a semester-based system with exams held in January-February and March-April or offering supplementary exams in June.
In 2024, CBSE released the board exam schedule on December 12, with exams conducted from February 15 to April 2. The results were declared on May 13, and supplementary exams were held from July 15 to July 22, 2024.
Additionally, CBSE has issued circulars to schools regarding the List of Candidates (LOC) submission for the 2024-25 academic year. To assist schools, CBSE has released a series of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that address common queries related to the LOC process.
