Aldi 'health risk' warning as popular item pulled from sale

by · BristolLive

Aldi is urging customers to return a popular item for a "full refund" after discovering it may pose a health risk. The budget supermarket chain pulled a freezer product from stores after finding that its Let's Party Vegetable Bao Buns supplier is "recalling items due to an undeclared allergen (sesame) and unlisted duck meat in some products."

Aldi added: "This may present a health risk to anyone with a sesame allergy."

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) frequently issues alerts for various reasons, and in this instance, they provided additional details: "Aldi is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall."

Furthermore, FSA explained: "The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice."

Aldi's message to those who purchased the implicated product is clear: "Do not consume the product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund". The affected product details are as follows:
