Ontario Premier Doug Ford bet large on electric vehicles, spun the wheel, and four years later looks to be a big winner. Ontario (population: 15 million) attracted investors with over C$44 billion for EVs and battery manufacturing in the province. By comparison, and since U.S. President Joe Biden took office, the entire United States (population: 337 million) attracted US$123 billion.
