Toronto police officer shot during investigation in busy midtown area
One suspect was arrested on scene and another is being sought. The officer has serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the police chief said
· National PostTORONTO — A Toronto police officer was rushed to hospital after being shot in the city’s midtown area on Wednesday as investigators searched for a suspect.
Police Chief Myron Demkiw said the officer has serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Demkiw says he was at the hospital Wednesday evening to support the officer and his family, and said the shooting is a reminder of the risks police face every day.
