Alberta's Danielle Smith wins massive 91.5% support from UCP members

The premier attacked the federal government and highlighted Alberta values

RED DEER, ALTA. – Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has won a resounding vote of support from her United Conservative Party’s membership.

On Saturday afternoon, the party announced that 91.5 per cent of the party’s membership, voting in person at the Red Deer convention, had backed Smith.

Earlier in the day, during her speech to the more than 6,000 attendees, Smith offered a plea to members to “remain united as a party and as a movement.”
