Nottingham secondary school rated 'outstanding' in new Ofsted report

A secondary school in Nottingham has been awarded an "outstanding" Ofsted rating after an inspection. The Bluecoat Wollaton Academy has earned the top rating following an inspection in October.

The report highlights the academy’s dedication to creating an environment where every student, regardless of background or ability, can thrive academically and personally. Located off Sutton Passeys Crescent, the school underwent the inspection on October 15 and October 16.

Principal Philip Rowson said: "The whole school community deserves the praise and recognition for our recent Outstanding Ofsted report, which we are all so proud of. We are ambitious for all of our students and we believe that with the right support and high standards, every student can achieve their best.

"This ethos is what caught the attention of the inspectors, as can be seen from the positive feedback throughout the report.”

The Church of England School was delighted to carry on with their streak of "outstanding" reports. The school was previously inspected on May 9 and May 10, 2018, when it was marked "outstanding" in all areas.

Bluecoat Wollaton Academy is part of Archway Learning Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with 10 academies across Nottingham, Derby and Derbyshire. It is Nottingham’s biggest MAT, educating one third of Nottingham’s children."
