Teenager charged with attempted murder after St Ann's stabbing
by Joshua Hartley · NottinghamshireLiveA teenager has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed during a city street fight. Police were called to St Ann’s Way, St Ann’s, Nottingham, around 11pm on Sunday, November 24, following reports of an altercation between two people.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they are not currently believed to be life-threatening. His condition is stable, according to Nottinghamshire Police
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was arrested on Tuesday, November 26. He has since been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 28. Detective Inspector Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I am pleased we have now been able to charge a suspect in this case.
“As we continue to progress with our investigation, we are still urging anyone who has information which could assist us with our inquiries, who hasn’t already come forward, to please contact us as soon as possible.” Police have asked anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 668 of November 24 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
