A large new furniture store is set to open today, which will mark the chain's eighth store and first one in Nottinghamshire. The Furniture Warehouse in Newark will officially open its doors and welcome in customers from 9.30am this morning (Saturday, November 2).

The store will be open seven days a week and has a huge range of furniture and home accessories for sale, such as for the living room, bedroom or home office. Plus, with Christmas just around the corner, the store will be having a range of offers and deals over November.

One of The Furniture Warehouse directors, Alex Raspin, said: "We have got special offers on throughout November." Speaking about the building, which had previously been empty for several years, he added: "We have been fitting it out for about eight weeks now.

"We have had all hands on deck to make sure that all the finishing touches are done and it will be ready to go on Saturday. Newark is our first store in Nottinghamshire.

"We have one in Spalding and Melton Mowbray is our most recent one. Market towns are what we are looking for but we do have one in Peterborough too."
