Pair appear in court after reports of gun being fired in St Ann's street

A trial date has been set for two men alleged to have fired a gun in Nottingham. Greg Emakpor and Kyaron Mitchell are alleged to have been the people behind the shooting after officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called to Blundell Close, St Ann’s at around 12.25am on Thursday, September 19.

The pair both pleaded not guilty to the charges they face when they appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday, November 1. Emakpor, 20, denies possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, arson, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and possessing ammunition without a certificate.

He has also been charged with possessing Class A and B drugs with intent to supply. Mitchell, 21, has been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, possessing ammunition without a certificate, and arson.

Emakpor, of Newton Aycliffe in Durham, and Mitchell, of Argyle Street in Nottingham, were both remanded into custody and were told by Judge Julie Warburton their trial will take place at the same court on March 3, 2025.
