Woman in hospital after crash between cyclist and pedestrian in Nottingham

A woman has been taken to hospital after a collision between a cyclist and pedestrian in the city centre. Nottinghamshire Police were called to Old Market Square at around 3.30pm.

A female pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment, however, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Some roads were closed for a short time due to the incident but have since reopened.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police were called to Old Market Square, Nottingham city centre, at 3.28pm today following reports of a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian.

"The female pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening. Roads nearby were closed for a short period but have now reopened."
