Large knife seized in suspected Nottingham alleyway drug deal
by Joel Moore · NottinghamshireLiveA large knife was seized by police after they busted a suspected drug deal down an alleyway in Nottingham. Officers were patrolling the Radford area on Wednesday (October 30) afternoon when they followed a person they believed to be buying drugs down near Myrtle Avenue.
They witnessed what looked like a drug deal taking place and detained a suspect. A large combat style lock knife was recovered from the suspect, along with a bundle containing bulk amounts of cocaine and heroin, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Large quantities of cash, a burner phone and weighing scales were also seized from the individual. Further searches were then conducted of the surrounding area, with a second lock knife and more wraps of Class A drugs found in a nearby garden.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife in a public place and possessing with intent to supply Class A drugs.
