Police issue update about 'high-speed' crash on A6075 at Edwinstowe that left two in hospital

Investigations into the collision remain ongoing

Police have issued an update after two victims were taken to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, following a "high-speed" crash in Edwinstowe. Investigations remain ongoing into the collision, which took place at around 4.45am on Monday, October 7, on Ollerton Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene and a man, aged in his 30s, remains in hospital with life threatening injuries as of Wednesday, October 9. A woman, aged in her 20s, has been discharged from hospital after suffering non life-threatening injuries during the crash.

The pair are believed to be travelling in a Volkswagen Golf that was involved in the collision. No arrests have been made yet in relation to the incident.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Investigation remains ongoing. The woman who was injured has since been discharged from hospital.

"The man who was injured remains in hospital. His injuries are currently believed to be life-threatening. No arrests at this time."

The road has remained closed in both directions after the incident, between the Royal Oak pub and the Ollerton roundabout, throughout Monday morning and into the early afternoon. People were advised to avoid the area if possible.
